Jive Announces Qualified Vendor Status with CALNET 3

Last week we officially announced the qualified vendor status award for VoIP and MPLS services under the CALNET 3 contract. See the full press release here.

With the E-Rate deadline approaching on March 26th, K-12 institutions throughout California can breathe a little easier knowing they can still secure Priority 1 E-Rate eligible VoIP and MPLS services from Jive via CALNET 3.

Over 100 California schools currently operate their phone systems on Jive Cloud, our Hosted VoIP platform. The CALNET 3 award will allow for a visibly easier procurement process. With Jive, schools will be recognized as members of a fully hosted services model, capable of leveraging Priority 1 E-Rate funds to upgrade their phone capability and reduce excessive expenditures.

Schools are not the only ones benefitting from this deal. The main focus of CALNET 3 is to profit state and local government organizations:

“The stated objective of CALNET 3 is to bring competition, technological innovation, flexibility, and cost control to public sector organizations. We are excited to be selected as a CALNET 3 contractor and support the State in meeting these objectives.”
– Jim Horalek, Director of Government Sales

Our success with specific procurement vehicles in California has also aided in making the Jive solution more accessible. SPURR, one such vehicle, allows government agencies and school districts to supplement budgets and implement the best-valued technology solutions.

This is a significant step for both Jive and CALNET 3 in bringing about cutting-edge, cost-effective technology.

“The innovation that CALNET 3 brings is big news . . . Technology leaders can now simplify procurement, management, and technology adoption with sustainable pricing and budget predictability.”
– Brian Moore, VP of Education Sales
